OUR FOUNDER...
It is with a heavy heart but with blessed assurance that we ask for prayer for one of Lafayette's most prolific pastors, Rev. Robert Charles. He has gone to his heavenly home for well deserved rest after laboring many years as a soldier in God's army. For the past 20 years he has counseled, worshipped, praised and shared God's love with the Solid Rock family; among countless others. With his equally humble wife by his side, Pastor Charles(as he is affectionally known) believed that the word should be given as just that...the word..nothing short, nothing added, straight to the point and simple! We as a family should continue to be in prayer that we use what he has taught us, stay together and work toward building on the vision he had for this church family. We thank the city of Lafayette and the body of believers for praying and sharing with us during this difficult time.

Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church is located at 300Railroad Avenue in the culturally rich city of Lafayette, Louisiana. Our motto is "Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness". A young church of only 20 years old, we are one of Lafayette's best kept secrets...well now the secret is out!
