OUR MINISTRIES

What exactly does Solid Rock members do?  We're glad you asked....

History Ministry

A newly formed ministry here at Solid Rock, this group has the task of preserving the past, documenting the present and providing insight for the future! A worthy task...indeed.  If you are a person who is curious and wants to show the side of you that tells a story...join this group!

Chairperson:  Sherry Broussard

Usher Ministry

Known as the "doorkeepers for Christ", these men and women are the people with the job of being the welcoming committee here at Solid Rock.  From our newest position, the Greeter(who meets you at the outside door) to the Pulpit Usher who assures the Pastor and Ministers have what they need all of their jobs come together to provide "professional ministry technicians" for the people of God.  Can you see yourself here??? Training is held once a month...come see how they do it!

Chairperson:  Vina Randell

Sunday School

 Food Prepreation/Serving Ministry

Another newly formed minsitry is one that serves...naturally!  The Food Preparation/Serving ministry is just what it says..members prepare foods for events, special requests, etc. If you are a chef, aspiring chef or you just want to learn from the experts, this ministry is for you!

Chairperson:  Nicol Dickerson

Hospitality Ministry

A third ministry that is new to the group of ministries is not actually new.. This group is actually known for assuring that guests are greeted, treated well and given all they need to enjoy the worship experience.

Chairperson:  Sandra Bernard

Planning Ministry

As with any success, planning is among the first things that happen! A somewhat new ministry to Solid Rock, the Planning Ministry is a group whose goals are to put "plan out" the ideas brought before them. Meetings, conferences and holidays are just some of the things this group does. Sugguestions are welcomed and encouraged.
